We are Wound Care People, a privately run business with expertise in healthcare publishing and events, historically specialising in wound care.
Our skilled and experienced team has a wealth of experience in medical and healthcare writing, editing, publishing, sales and marketing, giving us a combined set of talents and skills that enable us to deliver the best for our industry clients and our loyal network of clinicians.
We believe passionately that affordability should not be a barrier to learning so all of our educational offerings —journals, websites, e-learning modules, regional study days and national event — are FREE TO ACCESS for all clinicians who want to.
Bespoke medical education
In addition to our journals and events, we have vast experience at managing bespoke medical education projects for all of the key wound care companies in the UK, ranging from consultation along every step of the way for a product launch, sales and marketing support and motivation, through to management of clinical evaluations, generation of clinical content, medical writing (ranging from primary papers from study data to RCN-endorsed e-learning modules) and the running of events, including advisory panels and regional study days.

We maximise our huge audiences by promoting all of our offerings via social media; we use it to increase our reach; promote what we do and engage with clinicians in the UK and globally. We have over 20,000 followers of our pages, all of whom are engaged and loyal to our brands.
Our brands
Journal of Community Nursing
The Journal of Community Nursing (JCN) is our peer-reviewed flagship journal that was launched in 1972 and is still going from strength to strength. JCN is published every two months and is distributed for free in print and online to primary care practitioners, with an unrivalled distribution in print, coupled with an online audience of over 45,000 registered nurses. We provide regional study days and exhibitions around the country throughout the year, a host of e-learning opportunities including Facebook Live evening broadcasts, enabling our audience to learn whenever and wherever they choose.

Journal of General Practice Nursing
The Journal of General Practice Nursing (GPN) was launched in 2015 as a sister journal to JCN. GPN is also peer-reviewed and is published quarterly, both in print and online.
Both JCN and GPN journals regularly cover a wide range of subjects including wound care, continence, nutrition, respiratory care, skin care and diabetes. Both journal websites also contain their own Learning Zones and Revalidation zone, for learning and logging activity.

Wound Care Today
Wound Care Today is the UKs leading national event for all specialists and aspiring specialists in Tissue Viability. The event takes place over two days and is free to attend.
